Eligibility:  Mass Communication or Journalism or equivalent will be eligible only if they possess a Diploma/PG Degree/PG Diploma in Mass Communication or Journalism or equivalent  from a recognized university.  

Desired qualifications: Three years experience of Journalistic, Publicity or Public relations work in a Government Department or any Newspaper/News agency .

Question Pattern: The examination will be conducted in two stages:

A. Written Test (300 marks)

B. Interview (100 marks)

The questions pattern for written examination is as follows:

Paper-I:

1.      General Intelligence & Reasoning(50 marks)

2.      General English(50 marks)

3.      General Awareness(50 marks)

Paper-II:

Journalism and Mass communications (150 marks)

How to apply:

All the applicants have to apply through two available websites which are

First complete the Part-I registration , then submit the requisite fee(Rs. 100) only through State Bank of India challan or using on-line payment facility of State Bank of India. SC, female and PH candidates are not required to pay any fee. After successfully submitting the fees, complete the Part-II registration.

Important Dates:

Last date of Part-I registration: 23th May, 2012

Last date of Part-II registration: 25th May, 2012

Result of SSC Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2011 has been declared

Hello Everyone,

The final result of SSC Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2011 for both Data Entry Operator (DEO) and Lower Division Clerk (LDC) has been published on 28.04.2012. The written result was declared on 25-01-2012



Data Entry Operator (Post preferences D and E):

Total vacancies for DEO was 1029.

The number of candidates qualified for Skill test (DEST) is 10,639.

No. of candidates who appeared in skill test is 7,339.

No. of candidates qualified in skill test is 3401


Lower Division Clerk (Post preference L):

Total vacancies for LDC was 1695 and 2 vacancies remains unfilled.




Total Candidates called for Typing Test are 20,169

No. of candidates who appeared in type test is 13,751

No. of  candidates qualified in type test is 5,251

No. of candidates exempted from appearing in Typing Test is 136

Total No. of candidates qualified in/exempted from Typing Test are 5,387

Total no. of candidates qualified in both DEST/Type Test are 2,463
