Candidates are invited for the post of Junior Grade of Indian Information Service Officer in different Central Government  offices through Staff selection commission.

Eligibility:  Mass Communication or Journalism or equivalent will be eligible only if they possess a Diploma/PG Degree/PG Diploma in Mass Communication or Journalism or equivalent  from a recognized university.  


Desired qualifications: Three years experience of Journalistic, Publicity or Public relations work in a Government Department or any Newspaper/News agency .

Age limits: Maximum 30 years as on 01.08.2012. 

Pay Scale:  The pay scale for Junior Grade of Indian Information Service
 job 2012 will be of of Rs. 9300-38400 with grade pay of Rs. 4200 + DA, HRA and others allowances.

Question Pattern: The examination will be conducted in two stages:
A. Written Test (300 marks)
B. Interview (100 marks)

The questions pattern for written examination is as follows:

Paper-I:
1.      General Intelligence & Reasoning(50 marks)
2.      General English(50 marks)
3.      General Awareness(50 marks)
Paper-II:
Journalism and Mass communications (150 marks)

First complete the Part-I registration , then submit the requisite fee(Rs. 100) only through State Bank of India challan or using on-line payment facility of State Bank of India. SC, female and PH candidates are not required to pay any fee. After successfully submitting the fees, complete the Part-II registration.
